Dollywood's Harvest Festival, Great Pumpkin LumiNights Return This Week

Dollywood's annual Harvest Festival is scheduled to return this week.

The Pigeon Forge based theme park owned and operated by legendary country singer Dolly Parton will begin festivities on Friday, September 25 and run through Saturday, October 31, according to Dollywood's official website.

Attendees can "watch the leaves change in the Great Smoky Mountains while surrounded by the uplifting sounds of Southern Gospel," according to Dollywood's website. The event will conclude with the Great Pumpkin LumiNights experience presented by Covenant Health, which features illuminated jack-o-lanterns and harvest-themed spectacles.

The Great Pumpkin LumiNights event was named as the Best Theme Park Halloween event in 2019, according to USAToday.com's 10Best Readers' Choice travel awards.

Dollywood announced it will be adding even more pumpkins to this year's Harvest Festival with colossal pumpkins weighing up to 1,000 pounds each. The event will also include festival dining with sweet treats, drinks and pumpkin-inspired dishes.

Tickets are being sold at reduced prices for $35 plus tax for entry after 5:00 p.m., according to Dollywood's website. The park will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and closed on Tuesdays and Thursday during the Harvest Festival.
